A quiet day here in Cambridge with mormor & morfar. Therese went to the dentist, no issues & then a bit of shopping.
We then went to Gog Magog Farm shop for cream tea.
Here is morfar Jean enjoying a scone!

We flew back to the UK today. Everything went well and Vera was absolutely amazing! She slept for most of the flights and all the way home in the car. Home sweet home!

Last couple of days in Sweden
As always when our stay is getting closer to the end, there are many friends to meet so very busy days.
Yesterday Vera and I got the coach to Pilgrimstad where my best friend Anna and her wonderful family live. We spent time catching up and playing with the children as well as having a yummy dinner cooked by Cory. We got the coach back at 8pm. Vera was a bit cranky at Anna's, we think it might have been her tummy. Once home, she had a bath and some chill out time in the sofa, followed by a monster sleep (11:30 - 06:40) - she must have been tired!
Today we're going into town to have "fika" at another friend, Maria's, house. Charlotte & Axel and Anna are coming too, so it'll be great to see everyone again.
After fika we're off to Catrine & Magnus for dinner.

Sign of Life
Apologies for the lack of updates!
We're having a a great and very relaxing time here in Sweden. Vera enjoys meeting new people, getting cuddles from mormor and morfar and her moster (aunt). She sleeps well at night - midnight to around 5:30-6am.
(I hope I haven't jinxed it!)
Today Vera and I met Catrine and Folke in town and bought a few bits and pieces, then had a nice lunch outside Törner's in the sunshine.
On my way home I popped in to see Charlotte and Axel! Axel is a very charming and strong boy.
When I get back to Cambridge and manage to get the photos from my phone to the computer I will upload some of all the wonderful friends we've met at home.
In the meanwhile, here are a few of Vera, we had a photo session yesterday, for a newspaper ad and Christening thank you cards. (Here in Sweden it is common to put a notice in the paper when you've had a baby + a photo).

This morning we said good bye to Mark, who flew back to England to earn some money! We miss him already.
Here are some photos from the week so far:

Flying for the first time
Vera slept all the way in the car from Cambridge to Heathrow. Once in the terminal it was food time however, which she declared to everyone!
Now Mark & I are having a coffee before we attack security and Vera is having a rest. Traveling takes it out of you!

Ready for Holiday
We've had a lovely weekend meeting friends before our holiday in Sweden. Yesterday we met Ana & Mark in the Cambridge Blue, which is a lovely family friendly pub in central Cambridge.

Unfortunately I didn't take any photos. We sat outside all afternoon/evening and had a nice meal and some snacks. It got a bit chilly towards the end, but luckily Ana located the switch for the outdoor heater.
Today Terese cam to visit us (mainly Vera) from London. Terese brought a cool body for Terese - I will share photos of Vera wearing it.
We went for a short walk in Wandlebury park trying out the BabyBjorn sling, followed by coffee and cake at the Gog Magog Farmshop cafe. We stopped for a drink at the Square and Compasses in Great Shelford on the way home.
It's been a lovely weekend but now I best get packing for tomorrow. Can't wait to be in Sweden!

Another Sunny Day and a Coffee Date
This morning Vera and I went to Sawston to our friend Quing Quing, who we met at the antenatal classes, for coffee and yummy banana muffins. We met her son Philip, who also has a Chinese name and his Chinese nick name is Little Wing - don't ask me to pronounce it! Also there was Liz and Ben and Karolina and Hannah.

Karolina and Hannah - who has so much hair!
All of us in the garden (Liz & Ben, Karolina & Hannah, Therese & Vera and QuingQuing and Philip)

Summer is Wonderful!
Vera and I have spent the day outside lazying about (me), enjoying the sun (me) and generally enjoying summer (both) and this wonderful weather!
Vera's Passport has Arrived!
Probably one of the most welcome pieces of mail ever received!
Vera already looks nothing like her passport photo, which was taken when she was 2 weeks old.
