8th August

So here we are, just a few days away from moving from Cambridge. It feels weird and not real somehow. Life is so busy and work too, so maybe it hasnt sunk in yet. Planning to go up on Saturday to collect the keys and bring a few pieces to the new house. Monday is the day of the move, we get help with packing and will be out early afternoon. Staying in a hotel Monday night and our furniture etc gets delivered on Tuesday. And on Wednesday we head to Spain. Aaaand relax! Can not wait. But feels like a mountain to climb before then.

Vera has been a little bit upset when we've been leaving her a few mornings. Partly probably as I was away for nearly a week and she's picking up on the fact that things are changing.

I got some really sweet feedback from the nursery staff in Vera's new room "Tiggers", one of the team members said that I know that Vera hasnt been in Tiggers very long, but we're really going to miss her when she goes!

Today we got a book called "A book about me" - all about Vera, for us to bring to the new nursery. It contains some of the information in her development book below. Really sweet and much appreciated by us.

Mark had his leaving do in London last night. I have a low key leaving lunch tomorrow. I'm not really leaving, just leaving the office!

Feels very weird anyhow.

Dad is better, but remains in hospital, until he's fully conquered a post op infection. He's much better though and we can't wait to have him home!

Changes

This last week has been a bit up and down. Dad had to have a heart operation so I rushed back to Sweden to the University hospital in UmeƄ to be with him, mum and Catrine. Despite the scare, anxiety and worry, it was also lovely to spend time with loved ones. Funny how life turns out sometimes... Dad is recovering well but remains in the local hospital.

At home we are on the countdown of moving and are booking removal vans, new internet provider etc left right and centre, cancelling accounts and re-directing mail. We still have clearing out to do, but the first moving boxes have arrived so packing is imminent. And in the midst of all that, we're off on holiday!

Vera is developing fast. She is chatting away, practicing rolling over (kullerbyttor) on the living room carpet and is obsessed with Pippi.

We received her book from the Roo room, now that she has moved into Tiggers. Here are a few highlights
