Weekend

Tomorrow  we'll  be  in Sweden  but  until  then,  here are a  few  photos  from the  weekend. Jam  packed  as  per  usual,  a trip  to Leeds to  check out our new  wood  burner,  a Disney  themed  drum  birthday  party on  Saturday  afternoon!  On  Sunday  we  got a  visit  from Fiona,  Dan,  Robbie  and  Leo  and  enjoying  a lovely  walk to the  park and  some  great  caching  up  time. It  was  also the  first  time  we  got to  meet  gorgeous  baby  Leo!

Spring

So where did January and February go? In a blur of starting a new job, commuting, dark mornings and evenings and Sheffield snow. Well to be fair, it was only four or five days of the latter, but the start of 2015 has felt like quite a drag to be honest.
We have also managed two trips south, one to London to celebrate Terese's 40th birthday and one to Cambridge to see Ana, Mark, Ariane and to meet the gorgeous Nathaniel!

Christmas in Ireland was really nice, wonderful family and memorable times, but of course we dearly, dearly missed Joe and Olivia. It was very empty without them. However, we are really glad that we could be there and to spend the first Christmas without them, together with the rest of the family.

Vera is continuing to grow and develop and is quite funny at times. She too has discovered a sense of humour and will quite often tell us something, fairly normal followed by "I was only joking".

She really enjoys nursery but is quite excited about starting big school. We should find out which school she gets to go to within the next month or so. She can't quite get her head around having to wear a school uniform though. She very much enjoys chosing her clothes for the next day, the night before, so the thought of having to wear the same clothes every day is very alien to me.

The Swede in me also find the concept quite alien, however in a way it will be easier, no question about what to wear, and also no peer pressure or competition clothes wise.

This weekend we've had the first of the spring sun/warmth. We spent yesterday morning at ballet and then a few hours at Millhouses Park. We bought some new spring plants and while Mark was planting, I was enjoying reading my book club book on a chair in the sunshine and topping up on vitamin D.
