Things have gone really well at Terina on Wednesday and Thursday. Vera has eaten well and slept well and played, both with Oscar and Theo and with Terina.
Today is Vera's first day at nursery. She has joined the "Little Piglets" group.
Mark and I went there together this morning. We have left spare clothes and nappies there and have to bring in her bottles. Vera will get her solids, fruits and snacks and once she's on cow's milk, we dont need to bring anything in. There was a poster in the entrance hall welcoming Vera and another baby, both new to Little Piglets. Very sweet! She was full of smiles for the staff and her key worker. I phoned at 11am and was told that she was doing brilliantly. She'd crawled and dragged herself around the whole room, looking at all the toys. She's had her bottle and a sleep. She must have been exhausted and was apparently asleep within 5 minutes. So far so good! We're collecting her early today as it's her first proper day. We're still waiting for Terina to let us know if she can take Vera for the full week and if so, we'll need to make a decision. But, it is very re-assuring that things are going so well so far at the nursery. I am so proud of her!
I bought her a new toy, with a suction cup, for her high chair (below). I'm a bit tired with picking up toys from the floor a couple of hundered times every days, so this is great entertainment for her! She loves spinning it around and looking at all the colours. I've also bought her some stacking cups for the bath, so that she can bang them together and pour water.
