Vera and I went to London today for a day trip. We got the train from Shelford to Cambridge and Camgridge to Kings Cross. There were a few minor delays today due to the cold, apparently, but we legged it along the platform in Cambridge and just managed to get on the train to London.
Vera loved the train, so many things to look at. She had her mid morning bottle and went to sleep just as we arrived in London. Terese met as at Kings Cross as we got off the train. As I had an appointment at the embassy for my passport application, we jumped into a black cab (very handy to be able to drive the pram straight into the taxi) and went to Montagu Place (near Baker Street). The application took no more than 5 minutes since I somehow managed to have all my papers in order, get my photo and finger prints taken and pay my £130 for the pleasure. Vera slept through the cab ride and most of the embassy visit. Cool kid!
Afterwards we walked to the Swedish Church and had some coffee and a cinnamon bun and Vera also got to crawl round a bit on the floor in the cafe.
As it's been a beautiful sunny day, a few degrees below zero, we went for a long walk, through Regent's Park to Camden, where we went to a cafe on Parkway where we all had lunch.

Then we walked back to Kings Cross & got the train home. Lots of walking today and lots of things to look at.
Vera's just had her dinner and now we're waiting for Mark to get home. Tomorrow I'm off to York for a night away with Joe and Terese, so Vera and Mark get to spend some quality time together!
