Madam woke up at 7:30 and Mark and I were up shortly after. After breakfast, we packed the changing bag and set sight on IKEA in Edmonton. It's a 50 min drive down the M11 and along the North Circular for a bit. Started off with some energy top up, coffee for Mark and I and raisins for Vera. We spent a few hours in the shop and finished off with lunch, as well as the obligatory visit to the Swedish shop. It is very encouraging to see that they are starting to stock non IKEA brands again. Stocked up on coffee, herring roe, Kalles kaviar and vanlijvisp (custard) - all in anticipation of mormor, morfar, moster Catrine and Folke visiting at the end of this month!
We were home just after half two and mark swiftly went into DIY mode and drilled & installed the various bits and pieces we bought. I was trying to entertain Vera, banging on pots with with wooden spoons whilst preparing a Sunday roast.
