Development

Vera is going through a rapid pace of development at the moment and more and more  of her personality is coming through. Apart from standing up and balancing, she is also attempting to mimic a few words. She knows "mamamamama", "dadadadada", "papapapa", "nananana" (Nana), "e-lo" (hello), "bye bye" and as soon as she sees a photo of herself or any other baby, she says "baba" (baby). She waves good bye and hello!

She loves looking in books and finds it very amusing when we read the farm animal book and we make all the sounds. As an aside, I find it interesting that the animals make different sounds in Swedish in English! I'll stick to the Swedish!

She also enjoys giving and receiving things and is very proud when you say "Tack" or "Varsagod" (Thanks and There you go). Yesterday when I took in the washing she took great pride in putting the clothes peg in the clothes peg basket when I gave them to her, one by one.

She feeds herself with a fork or spoon, although the spoon is often the wrong way around, but she manages to scoop up enough porridge or youghurt anyway. She gets very annoyed if you try and take the spoon or fork away, there's definately a temper there!
