Sunday 6th November

We had a lovely afternoon/ early evening in the Cambridge Blue yesterday with Ana, Mark and Junko. Vera was a sweetie and very well behaved as per usual. I think she just likes people and being out. And chewing a bit on a laminated wine list.

We came home around 7.30, just as everyone was descending on Midsummer Common for the annual bonfire night fireworks display. It was a bit wet so nice to go home and chill out. Bath and bottle for Vera, who slept from 8 to 4am, then awake again at 6am and then at 8.

Today, we've had a chilled day (not that we do much else!). A drive and visit to our favourite cafe at Gog Magog (as it's so close) for a scone and a nice coffee. They have a huge selection of cook books there, so I can indulge in another passion of reading recipes.

Vera takes after me and loooves looking at people. Inbetween that she tries to grap EVERYTHING within reach.

Here is Vera, Mark and I in the cafe.

On our way home, we popped into Scotsdales, had a look in the huge Christmas department - yes it's started with a vengenace - and at the cute pets they have there.
We tried on some Santa hats, but she's very difficult to capture!
