Taste of Spring

March has arrived and with it changes. We have accepted an offer on our house, but due to the strange ways of British property transactions, nothing is for certain until contracts are exchanged 2-3 months down the line.

Fingers crossed though! On Saturday we went for a second viewing of a house we're interested in and all is looking good, so will keep you posted on our progress.
After a lot of driving and walking around strange houses where you're not allowed to touch anything, it was nice for Vera to go for a walk and then for lunch and a run around and play in a local park.
We went to a quick walk in the area where the house is located and as it was a gorgeous sunny spring day on Saturday, someone had got their lawnmover out and was mowing the garden. Vera heard it and shouted "Noise!, Noise! Car coming"
She surprises me so much with her speech, she knows words and can construct sentences I never knew she could. And other times it's just a long stream of incomprehensible sounds...all part of mastering this strange thing called language!
Another funny thing was the first time she went down the slide in the park, she exclaimed "Goodness!"

Today we went for a muddy walk in the morning to the nearby allotments, and after lunch we met Ana, Mark and Ariane for a walk in Wandlebury Park, followed by an outdoor coffee at the Gog Magog Farm cafe, brave as today was markedly colder than yesterday.

Vera was great and walked all the way, fuelled by water and a small packet of raisins! We finished Sunday with a nice roast as well as the usual bath and stories for the little lady.

Outdoor fika on a spring like Saturday
 Happy days!
 Slide fun!
Sunday fika, a tad colder, Ana and the gorgeous Ariane!
