After an efficient day at work with many conference calls to different parts of the world, it was lovely picking up Vera from Terina's and hear that she had had a good day. Working for an international company is one of the things I enjoy the most about CSR and that I have team members all over the world. This week so far I have spoken to China, Japan, Korea, Singapore and the US. It's great to hear how things are and for instance how the latest developments in North Korea are perceived in South Korea and how New Year is celebrated in Japan, how hot it is in Singapore and so on! I love learning about the world through people.
Vera had eaten eaten lots - Terina was very impressed that she'd finished all her food. Slept in her pram and played. She smiles a a lot at Terina and loves being bounced. Terina will bring down her door bouncer from the attic, which is great as we know she enjoys that. Terina said when we left: I can't believe she's only been here for two days, I love her!". It makes me so, so pleased that they get on and that Vera feels safe and happy there. My guilty conscience is a little less guilty...
At home Vera played with her new book that she got from Ana & Mark for Christmas. Lots of textures to stroke and things to explore.
Mark has had to remove all magazines and DVDs that are within her reach so I guess from now on we need to fins new homes for many things! She fell asleep quickly after her bath & bottle, a sign of a busy day and a tired girl.
