Christmas in Ireland - Arriving!

As you know we spent Vera's first Christmas in Ireland, meeting all the family. We flew out on Friday 23rd December from Birmingham to Dublin, with Aer Lingus. It was the smoothest, easiest trip ever. The drive up was quick (1 hr 45 mins) and you wouldn't have known it was Christmas at Birmingham Airport. So quite and no queues anywhere! Brilliant! Also very civilised to fly with a normal airline as opposed to Ryanair, dedicated seats and we got to board before everyone else as we had Vera. We didnt bring a pram or anything and I used my BabyBjorn carrier which was great, although she's getting heavy! Vera loves it though, faces forward as there is so much to look at!
We arrived in Dublin and picked up our hire car, all in the same building now so quick! Installed the car seat with some difficulty and programmed the sat nav and away we go. The drive down took about 2 hrs and hardly any traffic compared to the UK. It was so lovely to arrive and for Vera to meet her Nana and grandad Joe
